We are excited to offer a new competition dance programme to the East Grinstead and Forest Row area, starting April 2026.

This programme is beginner friendly, progressive and perfect for young dancers, ages 8+, who are excited to learn, perform, and grow their love for dance.

The Programme

This a thoughtfully structured dance journey that guides dancers from foundational training and team connection through to performance and competition. Each stage is designed to nurture confidence, discipline, and a genuine love for dance.

 

Youth members will be trained and mentored by Director Selena Welling, alongside a range of special guest teachers from the industry. With over 13 years of coaching experience, Selena has led dance teams to international competitions in Spain and the U.S.A, including the World Finals, earning numerous accolades such as Best Choreography. She is excited to bring her extensive expertise and dynamic programme to East Grinstead and Forest Row.

Saturdays (Imberhorne Upper School)

2:30-4pm NEW! Adult Lyrical Contemporary (Ages 18+) 

4-4:45pm NEW! Open Jazz Technique & Flexibility (Ages 8+)

4:45-5:30pm NEW! Open Commercial Street Dance (Ages 8+)

Season 1 Schedule: September 2026- July 2027

Teams will be separated into the following age groups. Each session will require a minimum of five dancers to run. All members are required to attend their minimum amount of hours per week as stated in their contracts.

JUNIORS (Ages 7-10)

Venue: Michael Hall, Forest Row

Saturdays at 11-12:30pm (1.5hrs)

Session includes Choreography and Team Conditioning

Members must also take an additional class, ie. Lyrical Contemporary or Recreational Ballet.

TEENS (Ages 11-16)

Venue: Forest Row Community Centre

Thursdays at 4:30-5:30pm (1hrs)

Session includes Choreography.

Members must also take an additional class, either Teen Jazz Technique and/or TeenLyrical Contemporary

Taster Classes

Each class is £7 per person

Open Audition Workshop

SUNDAY 13th September 2026 @ 11-12:30pm

Venue: Eurythmy Studio, Michael Hall School, Forest Row

Ages 7+, £15pp

Candidates will be taken through a full body warm-up followed by across the floor and a short combination to perform.

This workshop is aimed to be relaxed and supportive and we will be looking at each dancer's technique, musicality, performance and team dynamics (how they work with each other).

Spaces will be limited to 5-8 dancers per team to ensure we maintain qualitative training and team bonding.

 Successful candidates will be emailed within 48 hours and will be required to complete our contract to be an official team member for the season.

Please make to register your child BEFORE attending the session, all forms and payment must be completed before the workshop.

Audition FAQ's

What should my child wear to the workshop?

All candidates must wear a black T-shirt, black Leggings, and either Tan Jazz Shoes or Tan Half-soles. Hair must be slicked back into ponytail.

Can Parents stay to watch?

No. Parents will not be allowed to stay for the duration of the Team Auditions to allow all candidates to get a real taste of the training environment.

What do you look for in a dancer?

We look dancers who have a passion to learn and progress, self-motivated, and a team player.  

Can my child be invited to join a team?

Yes your child can be invited to join a team under the Directors discretion. All individuals will still be required to audition.
